    Recipe software............

Do any of you use any special software to catalog or write-up/record your recipes for future use or for sharing ?

I currently have a bunch of recipes I have come up with and/or use regularly, and I have a 1" thick 3 ring binder that is slam full of G'ma's recipes that were copied 4 to a page.

I'd like to get them all in the same electronic format, so I have easy access to them.

If I have to, I'll write up my own way to do this, but figured I'd ask what others use.

I want/need to be able to do the following:
    1) type in the recipes directly (no recipe catalog that I am restricted to like a lot of the software out there has..would in fact prefer NO catalog provided, only those I select or input myself)
    2) catalog them (by type meal like dessert, appetizer, main course, etc; by meat like chicken, steak, pork, fish; by who wrote it; by how many servings; by time required; by cooking method like crock pot, oven, grill, broiler, etc)
    3) be able to import recipes with various file formats from the web or other sources
    4) be able to generate grocery lists based on the recipes chosen
    5) be able to add pictures of the finished meal (not super important tho)

I also want to be able to do all this on a tablet or kindle fire type device, but will jump to a laptop if need be.

    Any recommendations or suggestions ??

I catch them online all the time, and just copy, paste and Save As recipes to Microsoft Word. I also cut a copy and keep'em in a file.

There are so many online recipes that there's no reason any longer to use cookbooks. I often read 3-4 recipes and take the best from each.

I just use Google Drive & organized by Main ingredient. Works well & I have access whereever I happen to be at the time.
