Sorry, But is the 50 hp right, because that's not a lot of motor for that boat.

At 5850 RPM, 50 MPH, and 21P, your slip is 17%. That is too high...

    150 4s WOT RPM is 5800

Were your RPMs from a SmartCraft Gauge or the analog tach that Ranger puts on stock? If so, probably need a true RPM from the ECU, as the analog techs are kind of inaccurate.

So....you could try a 22p rev 4, or a 23p 3 blade like a tempest plus. Those will get you more speed, but hole shot will suffer.

what is your prop to pad, and where was your jack plate?

Was the bow up, or plowing? Rev 4 good for stern lift. Tempest plus for bow lift.

Might try posting in Merc 4 Stroke forum, Don May have suggestions.

i know my boat came with 19P tempest plus, but I like it better with 17P Rev 4.

I have the same boat minus the Talons and messed with a lot of props when I got it. Settled on a Bravo 1 FS, 21P. Boat is not a speed demon and I was after hole shot rather than top end speed. My hole shot is excellent now and it runs 59 GPS at 5800 RPM. All of this coming from a SmartCraft gauge, so pretty accurate numbers.
