    Ufp brakes

I have a 2005 triton with a marine master trailer. My brakes were not working. I replaced the whole actuator and calipers and they’re still not working. Any ideas of why they don’t work?

Did you bleed them? Is the actuator free to move? Can you back the trailer up a hill with the lights unplugged?
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

I bled them. The actuator moves very little. I haven’t tried backing up without lights. I will try though. Thanks

When you say you "bled them" did you have someone assisting you ? Like actuating the master cylinder, while you opened and closed the bleeder valves? Did you verify all the air was expelled using clear tubing and a mason jar?

Did you bench bleed the new actuator before installing?

I didn’t use tubing. I’ll be doing that today.

Bleed the master cylinder before bleeding the whole system. Use half strokes to get the air out of the master cylinder. See step 2 of the manual bleeding procedure.

I appreciate all the replies! After bleeding them I found a leak in my brake lines. So on to fix that now.
