I have not purchased yet. It’s still on my list. What’s bugging me about the newer rec tec is the shiny stainless. Over the course of smoking the stainless becomes stained from the smoke. I’m sure some miracle combination of ingredients and elbow grease will remove it will remove it but I’m particularl about the condition of my items and I know that it would bug me.
As for Yoders paint, I do not know why they don’t powder coat. On the flip side, it’s nice to know I can hit it with a rattle can and she’s back to new. As far as costs, when sizing compared to one another with the comp carts for both, there is a few hundred gap, but, for me, it’s not an issue, if given, the proof in the minor details justifies it.
