Lake Anna is where the boats get towed to 98% of the time.

Anna is my home "lake", but I can be on the Potomac in about 15 minutes, so that's my home fishery.

Smith Mountain Lake, I sure with the lift was a bit faster lowering the boat into the water.

I usually fish the North River and Pasquatank river because I live in Chesapeake. Northwest river is good in the warmer months but I struggle there when its cooler. All the Albermarle Sound rivers are fishing well because we haven't had a Hurricane lately IMO

I used to fish those waters when on vacation at the OBX (I have not use for the beach, other members of the family differed), beautiful waters and sometimes you'd be totally alone. Fishing was hit or miss but the scenery couldn't be beat.

Spent a lot of time at holiday, 2-3 decades ago. Best spot was where the two creek channels intersect in the back "off shore" except spring. I'd be curious if it has changed due silt and sediment.

My BIL had shown me this spot and I learned it by dragging a worm. Latter I bought my first bass boat and could locate the area much better using my flasher. A 4" green and yellow worm that matched the many salamanders in the lake was very effective.
