Seal ring???

What is this plastic ring called and where can I find one? It's from a 2017 Mercury 115 4-stroke, it's found right at the base of the prop but not on the prop itself but the actual motor. Tried snapping it back in place but it wont stay there and seems to spin freely. Stopped at a local mercury service dealer and they never saw this before. Searched the internet and found a snap ring, seal ring, blowout ring but nothing that matches this exactly.

I would go ask in the Mercury 4 stroke / Verado section... Just a heads up provide model and serial number for your engine or you will be given a reminder to read the rulles.

I would find another Mercury service center if they did not know that this is an exhaust seal ring...just saying

I have to replace those every time a take the prop off nearly. I do not have that motor or it would get you the part number I use. Agree about asking in the 4 stroke section. Agree about finding a better dealer.

I agree! If anyone can give you an answer I believe Don or Rhonda from European Marine can answer your question. Whenever I've had issues/questions Don has been very forthcoming and has bent over backward to assist me. Give him a shout either in the forum (preferred) or give him a call.

I quit running them.. they break constantly. Supposed to protect threads in lower unit. I ordered 5, burnt thru those already.
