I,d rather be tried by 12 than be carried by 6
I did on my 2000 Rangertrail. I went through Ranger,their price was good and they knew what I needed,exact fit.

I did my 2002 single axle last year. When I got the calipers they were both the same. The fitting connection should be different on both. I called and they sent another one. Same direction on the brass fitting. Upon further review I was able to take the bolt out and turn the brass fitting around so it would fit. I called Ranger and the guy had not heard that but made a note. You also may want to replace the wire retainer springs that hold tension on the re-tractor.
