Anybody made the jump from att or other national carrier to a secondary carrier like cricket? My att wireless bill is out of control and I’m getting ready to make a change.

Yes I switched last year. So far so good. Make sure you get enough data or it slows to a crawl.
Switched from att about 2 months ago. Exact same service. About a third of what i was paying. Should have done it years ago
Can you keep all your numbers if you switch a family plan?
Cricket is owned by ATT

No problems with Cricket wireless, been with them for 4-5 years, only thing I don't like is sometimes my phone will not transfer towers. All you have to do is turn on Airplane mode wait a few seconds and turn Airplane mode off and it will be good to go the rest of the day.

15 of us switched about 3 years ago best move we all made Iam saving 275.00 a month and unlimited everything
Switched 2017 like said cricket (I don't know if owned by ATT) but uses ATT network , no issues at all

I switched about 3 years ago. No problems at all.
I was told that Cricket Wireless is owned by ATT and use the same cell towers. They are just cheaper. When my wife and I need new phones I am going to look into them.
Cricket Wireless is owned by AT&T, that happened back in 2014, which is why I now live in the Atlanta area as my wife spent 17 years working for Cricket, she just transferred late last year to AT&T. Cricket service does use the AT&T network, biggest difference is that Cricket is pre-pay versus post pay. They will throttle your bandwidth if you get too high on the data you use, still unlimited but the speed will be reduced. I believe there are additional savings to be realized if you setup auto-pay on your account as well.
If we didn't get a killer discount for AT&T services with her employee discount we would be on Cricket service.
Take a look at Metro by T-Mobile, great service, and you get Amazon Prime included!!!
I switched a few years ago and saved a bunch. Coverage and service is good, the only difference from at&t is cricket has slightly slower download speeds. But I have zero complaints with my service.
If you don't use a lot of data, check out Google's Fi service. I got it several years ago because it allows you to use your phone in quite a few countries around the world. It runs on US Cellular, Sprint, or T-Mobile towers here in the US.
So far, no complaints. Tested it in Honduras and Canada, works as advertised there.
Average bill is about $50 per month for myself and wife. We don't use a lot of cellular data since we have Wi-fi at work and home.
We switched from Sprint to T Mobile. Sprint has the worst customer service and high prices. T Mobile requires no contract. Their price includes all other fees & taxes. we are very pleased with their coverage, customer service where you will speak to a real person with a minute, military discount, and is saving us big money. I did not consider Cricket or its peers because I believe they are network dependent on someone else.

Mean Dean is very accurate. I owned 6 Cricket Stores since the Company started. I just sold them last year. You can port your number over to them. If you have a I think they still have the deal going on 4 lines for 100.00 or 3 for 90.00 and 2 for 80.00 I could be wrong but I thought they changed that they do not throttle back the unlimited data anymore. You do also receive a 5.00 discount if you use the AutoPay feature. Hope that helps....
Can you use verizon phone with cricket or do you have to buy a new phone?
