    Another p2p ?

I have an 819 with 200 pro xs 2 stroke with 10 manual jack plate. The factory
had the p2p at 3.5 with it there I could not control the boat
above 63 mph from the chine. I then raised the motor to
3 p2p now I can get 68+ and control the chine. I fish on lake of the ozarks
mainly so top speed is hardly needed because of the boat traffic in the summer makes for very rough
water conditions. It seemed to have better bow lift at slower speeds when the p2p was set at 3.5 at 3 p2p
the bow doesn’t seem to change much no matter where I have it trimmed at. Sense I raised it it doesn’t seem
like I run on the pad unless I am going wot, does it sound like I have it raised to much or should I leave it where
it is. I consider my boat to be lightly loaded maybe 30lbs of tackle ten rods, two life jackets, rain gear
and jumber cables with a funnel and weight in bags in the back compartments with a 1/2 tank of gas.

Split the difference and try 3.25. With a manual plate you have to find the happy medium that gives you the best all around performance. Even at 3.25 you will notice an improvement with handling at speed.

I tried 3.25 p2p it’s seemed to chine at 60 mph. I guess I’ll move it back to 3 or 2 7/8. I couldn’t tell much of a difference with bow rise from 3 to 3.25. I have a hard time believing that a .25 of a inch makes that much of difference. Does anyone seem to have the same set up and have it set to 3 inch’s p2p?

Tom I just read a long thread you had in 2016 when you first got your 919 and trying to figure out your p2p
i fell your pain. Wish I would of spent the extra and just got a hydrolic plate.
