    Omaha areas lakes—Ice free yet?

I didn’t get a chance to check them today but Prairie Queen and Walnut Creek both looked really close to being open on Friday. In fact, they even put the dock in at WC. PQ looked like it might take until later next week to be completely free. I pulled the boat home today to charge batteries and do a little work. Might drop it in the water tomorrow if the weather clears out early enough.

All the wind last evening and then the rain overnight should have the lakes just about open. The dock is at Praire Queen is there just needs to be pushed down the ramp.

That just means all of the best cover has fishable amounts of water until it drops

I was on Carter yesterday to test the boat. Lake was completely open, water lever was maybe a little above normal and basically normal water clarity for that lake. Water temp was 49.

Catch anything? They should be venturing up shallow in that lake with those temps.
