    Testing a 2006 20i Carling Brain Box

Hi Guys, I'm looking at a 2006 20i and I know these have had some issues with the brain/control box from Carling. This has the ECS-000067 unit. Are there any tests/checks I can do on it before I purchase this boat?

Anything to look for before I make a buying decision?

    Thanks!

press all the buttons I guess. these are sealed units I believe. i would call your dealer to make sure another can be purchased or the ability to go rocker switch just in case

I guess what I’m asking is are there any specific signs of failure to look for or anyway to test for any failure? Do they just die or start losing functions on the touchpad?

If this is the one with all of the breakers on it, take the cover off of it and make sure nothing looks funky on the board. Test all pumps and other buttons as well.
