Question Waypoints Move while Boat Stationary

My boat is sitting in my garage. On my 360, I move my cursor about 10 feet and mark a waypoint. I'm watching my waypoint icon float around the screen every few seconds. It will be to right of 360 boat icon then to lefy then front etc. Is this normal? My satellite view says excellent/enhanced.

Well, I guess you are since you have waypoints on the 360 view.

I would guess you must not have Enhanced full time since the waypoints are wandering.

It's in the house garage so covered but bow of boat (my external HS puck) is toward the edge of exit and garage door is up. GPS does say enhanced with .9 HDOP

The numbers sound good but you can't have many satellites straight out your garage door. How far are the waypoints moving? Bob

Well, I have the 360 range on 60. I'd guess maybe 30 ft total. The icon on the chart view zoomed out on unit beside 360 hasn't moved. Maybe I'll go out and make a split screen (360/Chart) and see if waypoint moves on chart side.

Before I would be concerned I would opt to be somewhere without any restrictions on viewing satellites. Like on a lake or at least without any tall trees or buildings around. JMHO

Waypoint roam on chart view as well. I wouldn't have noticed until I zoomed in.

I agree. Just curious if this is common with people's boats sitting in garage.

Range is the distance from the transducer (radius). 60’ is 120’ diameter.

My boat is in garage too, on my sonar map page my boat speed varies .2 to .4 mph. Satellites moving I guess.

Ahhh. Thanks Wayne and BR374. Yep not too worried about it now. I'll be on lake all this week and will be back if an issue on the water.
