Speed control knob set on something other than 0?

Probably the reed switch on the foot pedal. Do a search and there will be several threads on how to fix.

Yeah power and control knob for sure on and set on more than 0. Tried adjusting reed switch like videos and post stated but no luck so far.

I am fighting the same issue. I just bought a used boat with the Ultrex & the prop also stopped spinning. I took it to a service center & naturally, it worked fine. I fished 3 days with no problems & it quit working again. It steers fine, but the prop will not spin. I was able to make the prop spin by using the remote, so my problem is definitely with the foot pedal. I checked it when I got home & it worked fine again, so something is probably loose somewhere, I just have not found it yet.

Remove prop, loosen bottom bolt, deploy motor and see if any water comes out.

Your Ultrex is probably still under warranty. Did you hit something that you think may have caused damage? If not, I would talk to an ASC (Authorized Service Center). You can go to Minn Kota website and search for an ASC near you by zip code.

I was able to use armature-- new brushes seals and clean up armature where brushes ride.

Not sure it can be warrantied by second owner.

Even though there have been numerous cases of leakage from NEW motors.

Warranty doesn't pass with motor, it's to original purchaser only. Sounds like a good chance that water is in lower unit. I can help you with the parts.
