Has anyone ever hired a guide on Clear Lake?

I’m going to be in the area this week and wondering if anyone can recommend a guide or someone that needs a side job for a day. I’ve always wanted to fish out here in California. I appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thank you!

All will do their best to put you on fish. This week is kinda short notice as most of these guys are booked
Try and fish during the week as it gets busy on weekends. We are still in flood stage with speed restrictions are in effect to save homeowners docks and rain all next week
It took 50 pounds to win the 2 day event last week. Mainly A rig bite . Temp around 51 in am.

I would love to go with Matt Allen but he is about $1000 for a day which is more than I care to spend. Though I’m sure he is well worth it. If I had a buddy to split the 2 man deal I would. Who would you say the next best choice is?

I would say Ross England or Paul Bailey if you can't get in with Matt. Although anyone that's an actual licensed guide out there is likely booked at this time of year. I

I live here part time, sitting by the pool right now as I write this and I am headed out to the lake tomorow.
The lake is in Prime condition right now, find a way to get on the water, you wont be sorry.

Ross is a fixture up here, really the standard I would say.
Having said that I recived a full day guide trip with Paul Bailey for Christmas, we are headed out next Saturday and I am pretty excited.
This will be my first guide trip ever.

Ross England. Ask him if the booked days are for the whole day. Pretty tough getting a day this time of year with such short notice.
