Onix Networking With Solix And Helix

I have a Onix 10 touch screen and wonder where or if it fits in with a new Solix or Helix 10. I am buying a new unit this year and maybe another next year and a Ultrex also. I am trying to fiure out what I could use the Onix for with the transom transucer. I though about moving it to the bow and get a DI trolling motor transducer, I do not think it would hook up to a Ultrex DI transducer. Maybe it has a use for mapping at the console I am just not sure. I could also sell it and just start new. Just trying to figure out what some options may be. Thanks for any ideas.

Compatibility with a first generation SOLIX was killed via software update when the SOLIX menus were changed to match the G2 SOLIX. They share nothing after that.

Can share waypoints with the Helix, nothing else.

Stand-alone mapping would work.

Wayne do you know if the Onix transom si transducer is able to be mounted on a trolling motor. Also would the latest Helix or Solix have the brightest screen or are they about the same.

Yes, I used my ONIX with the transom HDSI transducer on the trolling motor for a couple of years. I got the NT model and had to wait until I received it to see which transducer it came with, it was the RD. Then I ordered the Transducer Shield and Saver for it.

Yes the SOLIX and Helix have a brighter display.
