83Khz no retutn

Helix 10 SI GPS Gen 1. XSH 9 HDSI 180T xdcr. Trolling motor mounted. After version 1.90 I get no 83Khz return. 200Khz works fine, 83/200 has return but it’s same as 200 only. Same results in simulator or normal mode so don’t think it’s xdcr. SI DI and maps all fine. Called HB, no help there they said send in with $300+ and they would look at. Ask about the separate 83Khz setting with +/- 10 they weren’t aware of this and I really don’t know what it’s for either.

Just wondering if there is a setting I’m missing that has 83Khz turned off.

When you adjust the sonar Sensitivity, it adjusts both the 200 kHz and 83 kHz the same amount. If you need 83 kHz set lower or higher than 200 kHz, you use the OFFSET setting so the difference between 83 kHz and 200 kHz remains the same difference when you adjust the Sensitivity.

It's is like the left/right SI offset where you need a different value of each side with the SOLIX units.

Thanks Wayne, I understand that setting now. Any idea why I’m not getting any return from 83 KHz is there some way I’ve turned 83 off ? Everything else is fine just no 83 Knz in normal or simulator mode.

Another thing, you won't get any image with 83 kHz using Simulator since 83 kHz was not turned on when the Simulator recording was done.

I get both frequencies with my first generation Helix 12 CHIRP SI GPS. I run both so I get both sets of FishID symbols.

Did you do a Restore Defaults after you installed 1.900?

Yes before and threes time after. Update and restore in simulator (as always) never a problem on desk in simulator with updates.
Ill check again next week, can’t get on water until then. Wouldn’t be first time operator error for me.

I was just out late last week using H10 and H12 Gen1 with 1.9 and didn't have a problem with the 83khz.
