    Question E10 gas in tank

Hello all. I recently purchased a boat in Missouri and all of their gasoline is 10% ethanol. It has a full tank, when the tank is empty I want to switch over to non-ethanol 87 octane as I have it available in my area. Has anyone experienced issues switching over? TIA

E10 is not the monster that some people say it is... use a ethanol stabilizer such as Stabil Marine in every fill up. I have been using E10 for years in my Mercury powered boats with no ill effects

Disagree. Pump it out and use it in your truck. Put real fuel in it.

Put "real" fuel in it? In many areas of the country you have no choice, the gasoline that you buy is E10 period

I would be interested in knowing "when" the tank was filled with the E-10 fuel. I would then make an informed decision based on the age of the fuel, and what (if any) additives were used in the fuel.

I've used both and haven't noticed any difference in performance, reliability or fuel economy... I now only use E10 fuels along with Don's cocktail... I normally only get 10-15 gallons per trip figuring that's what I'll use that trip... Plus Mercury designed and engineered the engine to run on E10... Dan

Thank you, Mercury engineers designed these engines to run on E10, but some of the posters here know better

I have non ethanol fuel near me in 87 octane, and will not run it, Indian casino gas, I will stick with the E-10 from Chevron, I demand some what better than just top tier. I have no concerns with a 10% or less. All gas is not the same, over fifty years of first hand experience in seeing which brands run clean and which do not
    Thank You Leon Pugh
