Why don’t I have down imaging. I’ve got regular sonar, side imaging, charts and a screen for down images just no picture. All other screens show up great

Have you already tried resetting defaults? If that doesn't help, then swapping with another unit can help determine whether it is the unit or transducer. Otherwise, it would probably have to go back under warranty.

U might wana look at your settings and make shure that the di setting is turned on. Its in your sonar settings

I had this question on a Helix 7 about no DI. You suggested it was a wire on previous posting. DI shows in Simulation mode for my unit. Anything else if the answer is yes it shows in Simulation ?

Were you on the water? Do you use a "Y" cable for 2D on plane readings? If yes to both you may be using the wrong "Y" cable. Bob

My guess is the wrong y cable, I had the same problem from a previous owner. New cable, DI magically worked great.

That is the current Y cable and the AS SIDB Y has been discontinued. It has the extra circuit for Down Imaging that the AS SIDB Y does not have.
The 9 M SIDB Y works with old and new Helix and number series SI units.
Prior to the Helix MEGA SI units, no Humminbird Side Imaging unit had Down Imaging until the ONIX and then SOLIX. They have composite DI VIEWS created by blending the two SI pulses. Composite DI was added to SI units with a software update in January 2010.

The Helix 7 G3 and G3N also have composite DI VIEWS. Not dedicated DI like the larger MEGA SI units.

Awesome, thanks Wayne! I used the older version of the Y-cable and first time out on Sunday with my new graphs I had no Di...now I know why!
