    Dual axle trailer

I just found out my spare has a leak. If I take a trip before it’s fixed and I get a flat can I drive the trailer with one tire on a side?

Take the tire off and chain the axle up.

Personally, I would get the tire fixed, or replaced

If it helps, I lost a rear wheel and hub on my rear axle. Late at night, in the boonies....I drove 50 miles like that...!

    BAM

If it’s a torsion axle, just take the flat off and drive it. If it has springs, be sure you have ratchet straps to tie the empty axle up.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

Go get the tire fixed. Not worth damage to your rig or causing an accident

You cannot see if one of your tires goes flat while you are driving. You will, however, be able to detect the fender being torn off when the tire carcass throws a belt through it.

Anyone own one of the ramps that lifts your tire off the ground for changing? Do they work?

Spend $59 at Harbor Freight and get the aluminum 1500 pound NASCAR style floor jack. It's small, lightweight and versatile.

I had a blow-out yesterday on my 2015 Ranger Trail and the extra weight onto one tire almost flattened the other tire. It's a torsion axle, but I sure wouldn't want to drive it very far like that !! There was 40# air in the tire too !

Why were you running it flat?

i am not leaving my house knowing i have something not right, but i do a lot of upkeep on my boat, fix it before it turns into more of a problem, changing flat tire on a trailer is not the safest thing to do anyway beside the road

Yes. Don’t roll out without it when the boat is attached. Works great.

A second spare tire, and fix the one you have.

I can't leave anything stock, I can't leave well enough alone.
I need to customize everything. I think I can improve others
    designs, sometimes.

Yes, it was low. I hadn't checked it lately. Shame on me !! I was meaning to POINT OUT the fact that a low tire would not carry the added weight. But thank you for your help.
