    Early retirement guru's needed!

    I have a woman friend who used to work with me who moved from Ca to Reno. She goes up there and hooks up with this guy who says he had worked for the Power Co in that area. Her story is he is going to cash out his retirement early and they are going to live happily ever after! Well this was approx 3 years ago and according to her they are waiting for the bank to release his funds? This has been an ongoing saga with the bank thing for the last 3 years. All the while they have been living in hotels, in their car and borrowing money from anyone and everyone, including a friend of mine to the tune of $800. She keeps singing the same tune. I keep asking her why such a mess trying to get his retirement funds and I've got ten different answers. I hate to say this, but I'm really wondering if this guy actually has a retirement in the first place and is just stringing her along. Any and all responses welcome.

    Even if it's true "Cashing out" doesn't usually last very long with most retirements that I'm aware of.

    I guess what I'm trying to find out is, Has anyone EVER heard of such a thing as having to wait THIS long to access funds that are supposedly his? The last excuse was that the Govt shutdown put a hold on the funds being released?? Hello! Can't wait to hear the NEXT excuse! LMAO!

    Friend of my GF moved from VT to Florida to start over. Met a great guy and lost everything. Now she gets to start over again.

    She's getting taken for an expensive ride and lesson, if she is at all responsible for borrowing and paying for their 3 years of living it up while waiting for his retirement cash out. It's hard to believe anyone could be that stupid.
