    New version of 7 and 9 plus models?

    Anyone know if Garmin is going to update the 7 and 9 plus models now that the 10 and 12 have been announced?

    The 10 and 12 have some nice upgrades.

    I wouldnt think so, or at least at this time......in fact they just put out "new" 7" & 9" models that include the g3 mapping in the unit.

    I think they need to keep a certain amount of separation between the 7/9’s and the 10/12 ultras for price justification and being able to fit the varying needs of all consumers. The Echomap Plus models offer the best bang for your buck on the market. Adding features would bring the price up closer to the xsv, etc. and would also price them out of many casual anglers’ price range.
