    2007 225 HO Etec - Stalling Issues

Posting for my father as he isn't a member:

He has a 2007 225HO Etec that is experiencing stalling issues. When running, anything above 5,000 RPM will randomly stall and fall back to 3,000 RPM, and if you reach over and immediately switch fuel tanks it'll take off again. Regardless if it's initially pulling from port or starboard tank, when the stall occurs switching the the other tank will allow it to regain it's RPM's.

Other issues...the motor also will get stuck at a high idle at times around 2,000 RPM. Kill the motor and restart and it will idle at it's normal RPM range. In addition, sometimes the motor will randomly will sound an alarm when it is put into gear and not have any power to get on plane, but if you shut off the motor and restart this problem will go away.

Any idea on what could be cause one/all of these issues? Appreciate any help.

The first problems sounds like a fuel tank selector switch problem. No input on the second problem. The third issue suggests that a code is being set and the motor is going into safe mode. You will have to retrieve the code to know what is going on.
