    250xs 4 stroke leaking fluid

    s8iE1L.jpgkw1ZYV.jpg

Leaking out of the water intake, I can’t be certain whether it’s gear lube or engine oil. Of course We have a fishing trip planned this weekend. Any ideas what I looking at? Thanks

Definitely gear lube & the driveshaft seal is the likely culprit

That is what I am thinking, that or the shift shaft. A little frustrated, brand new Phoenix 920 with 6 hours on the motor.

If you would, please take a few moments to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info each time you post. Thanks!

Pretty unusual, but if overfilled that can easily damage the seals. Get it checked by your Authroized Mercury Dealer.
