    Picked up my new 1980!

Excited to get out on the lake this weekend. Boat is built very well and I’m so happy with my purchase so far. Will be the first time running a g2 so I’m curious to see how she runs, I also went with the bulkhead hot foot which will be new to me. Went for a test ride in the 1880 before I bought this and I was very impressed with the ride. Can’t thank Matt & Ben at Malone’s marine enough. They were a pleasure to deal with!

Did you order it or did the dealer have it on hand? If ordered, how long after your deposit?

Yeah the evinrude has a built in lock, some guys recommend the th marine style bracket or I believe there is a guy that makes them and sells them on eBay. But no the deck doesn’t pop when walking on it. However I haven’t had it on the water yet, taking off tomorrow morning for her first run

I saw one of these or the 2080 model cruise by my house yesterday, very sharp looking boat and the deck space looked impressive. Enjoy the boat!

My fishing buddy bought one like yours but with 2 whites Powerpoles and the tandem trailer. He's been fishing out of it at Okechobee the last 3 months and loves it. I'm sure I'll get to spend some time in it this year.

I clicked on the the picture and was surprised to see you bought it at Malone's Marine. I live about 4 miles down the road from there.

Great looking rig. Thanks for posting. I just ordered a 1980 last week. Same color, same motor, but with dual axle trailer. I would love to hear how you like it on the water.

I would love to see a photo of where the foot throttle is on the bulkhead. I’m getting an Evinrude bulkhead foot throttle installed on my AVX1980 this Wednesday and I am interested in the proper placement. Thanks!
