    93 mercury 60hp-Rebuild

    Im planning to rebuild this engine. It’s torn down and piston #3 skirt is missing, #1 is scratched pretty bad too. It seems like these motors are prone to this. I see lots of 60hp mercs that have been rebuilt or need rebuilt. Is there anything in particular, or known issues I should address during the rebuild to make the motor last longer?

    ones ive seen are mostly from wrong prop or neglect on maintenance
