Just buy new. The resale value is insane! By far the coolest truck on the road today.

My son's boss gets a new raptor every year, loves them and can afford it easily, has a Wrangler with the Hellcat engine in the garage also.

You need to understand the soft ride comes from more compliant springs with much better shocks so payload capacity is its Achilles heal. It’s also a little expensive to maintain since the shocks do wear out and are expensive as well as tires. Get the supercrew for better towing and payload, its fine for even a big bassboat.

As far as Offroad capabilities, the only thing close is a power wagon from the factory. I have driven mine through a couple feet of snow, rock crawled it through the Rockies, and spent some time in the deserts with it. The PW is a little better when rough, tight and technical, the Raptor is better when it can stretch its legs. The raptor is still the only truck that tells you how to jump it in the owners manual. It is so much fun it will distract you from going fishing, so be careful.

Does it tell you how to, or how NOT to..........

(referring to the early raptors that ended up with bent frames from jumping them like in the commercials)

I have built 5 different versions on the website. I like the Red and Performance Blue. If my subdivision gets rid of the prohibition on trucks it would be my next vehicle

went to local dealer today auto nation ford in arlington tx. they only had 2 and said they only sell around 6 a year. loaded out grey one around 73k and a plain jane white one for almost 10k less. naturally i didn’t like the white one. going to look at more this weekend. what’s crazy is IF i get one it will more than likely never see any off roading. i do mountain bike so maybe one day i may decide to take it off the beaten path but it won’t be anything too crazy or dangerous.

Give it a little more time and you can buy the better equivalent from RAM! Just saw it today in a article on facebook where Ram is going to compete against the Raptor with a Ram with a Hellcat engine installed! That should be interesting

I'm mostly a Ford guy as I work for Ford. However, I was raised on Chrysler money and had quite a few relatives work for GM over the years. These types of trucks are cool as hell, but honestly would never buy one unless I had a shit ton of money to throw around. If they can keep the drivetrain together on that RAM, it will be a very bad ass truck. Love the looks of it in the video. However, having been in the auto industry all of my life, I know that many of these projects never come to fruition. I hope this one does, competition is always a good thing. My case in point, look at early release photos of the much anticipated rebirth of the Ford Bronco. Latest photos of what will actually be built are pretty sad compared to the prototype.

I’ve visited two people in different Florida neighborhoods where they won’t allow “construction vehicles” in the road or driveway. Pickups are considered construction vehicles. In one case they had a lot for them, in another I left it at the neighborhood boat ramp. One of those neighborhoods was a bunch of nice modular homes gathered around some small lakes, not what most of you would consider upper end.

One of my friend's dad, lives in Naples, tows his boat with a Ford Explorer Sport Trac because he couldn't have a pick up in his neighborhood. I guess they considered the Sport Trac an SUV and it is acceptable. Oh yeah, no boat, RV, trailer, etc. can be parked in driveway. It's not even a really nice neighborhood

I could not live somewhere that would not allow pick-up trucks.

I just drove my 2018 from WV to Greenville, S.C. Once with the boat to Hartwell (Triton TRX 21) and once without. Without 19.2 mpg. With 12.2 mpg. Mine doesn't eat gas at all.
