    Manuel jack plate height

I have 2018 520c with the 4 stroke MERC. Just wondering what height I need run with my manual jack plate. It was flush from the factory and I am up about an inch right now. My boat still has too much bow lift trimmed all the way out.

Most of the time at WOT and trimmed all the way up and you have too much lift you are real close to where you need to be on proper setup. From there you need to bump the trim down a little until the boat settles in and speed increases.

Those hulls will overtrim to the point of losing speed due to wind drag, about 3/4 trim is about right. Transom height has many variables such as load and prop but 2.5” to 3” under will be close, usually.

Which will be with the manual jackplate about 3/4” above flush. Lock it down right there.
