A UTI in a cat is life-threatening. They will pee almost constantly in dribbles, and for an indoor cat that is a nightmare for owner and cat.

Some of yall would probably think it was acceptable when my relief (we are firetruck pilots) forgot to call in sick because he was fishing a tournament. By the time they figured out that he was not coming to work and found a replacement, I was hours late for the things I was doing that day. But you would let a living animal die because its not a valid excuse to call in.

I have had a guy with this same issue. One of the all-time greats was he could not come to work because his tires were frozen to the driveway.

Very sadly I know some people who would save their pet
