No "hotfoot" for me and you can relax if I'm on the water.

At one time I did not think I would like a Hotfoot. Bought a boat with one. I really like the Hotfoot. safety has nothing to do with it, I just like it. Doesn't bother me if others don't. I didn't pay for any boat but mine.

Yes, a bass fisherman can really cause trouble when he's used to putting a hotfoot boat fully in gear and he's asked to drive a throttle quadrant only boat.

Whatever you guys want in your boat is up to you. Personally I don't care what you use or not, it's up to you. I do however care if you're on the same lake as I am. I care about my daughter in the boat with me, or my wife, or a good fishing friend. If you think for one second you can't have an accident ( with or without a hotfoot) you live in LaLa land. I don't care if you've driven a boat for 30 or 300 years that does not guarantee you cannot hurt or kill someone. And I can't say in all honesty that a hotfoot would prevent that. But I would hate to carry that guilt around for the rest of my life just because I thought I was invincible. Seems as though this subject is like beating a dead horse, nuff said.

Marshalled w David Fritts last year, he was running a G2 usually equiped with both and can be switched between the 2..(best of both worlds. ) noticed he didnt have the foot throttle, I leaned over to him and said no foot throttle David? He replied, "hell no I would kill you with one of those things". Wr ran over 165 miles that day and coming back was some of the biggest waves I've even been in. He got me back safe.. That man can drive a bassboat.. moral of the story..you have to go with what your comfortable with, not what someone else tells you. "You have to have".

Best safety item ever. Lets you maintain both hands on the wheel and use trim... In rough water the having to move the throttle is dangerous. I do get not having to have your foot on the pedal in easy water but the Pros FAR outweigh the cons.

My first hotfoot was in an 86 Stratos. Before that, never used one. After having used one now for several years, I couldn’t imagine not having one. It allows me to have two hands on the wheel at all times. I feel that it’s a safety feature in it’s self. Any go fast boat especially needs one.

No, I can't imagine a situation where someone would bounce off a hot foot?
