Difference between an Rip Tide and Ultrex

Was at a local boat show and saw some Salt Water boats with Minn Kota Rip Tide motors. It had Spot Lock and hand remote. Not sure about a foot pedal.

The price seemed a lot less than the Ultrex.

    What other differences are there.

Riptide is the saltwater version that Minn Kota Manufacturers. As stated above the Terrova and Power Drive have GPS capability along with the Ulterra. Each of these also have foot pedals available. The power drive will not come with a foot pedal if it has GPS. The foot pedal that is made for the Power Drive will not work if it has GPS.
The Freshwater edition of Terrova can be purchased with or without foot pedal. The foot pedal is an extra with the saltwater edition.
The foot pedal is an extra with both the fresh and saltwater edition Ulterra.
The Ultrex is a freshwater troll motor that has the best of both worlds. Foot Pedal and GPS with remote.

As said above, the Riptide series is MinnKota's saltwater version of the freshwater motors. It does not come in an Ultrex. The Ultrex is a freshwater that gives footpedal type steering with electric steer, spotlock and some other functions. The saltwater motors do not come with a footpedal.
