Correct set back for jack plate on z18 with a 4 stroke 150

I have a 2017 nitro z18 with a mercury 150 4S, I’m wanting to put a slide master jack plate and I was wondering what the optimal set back was.

If you look at the Nitro sight they offer the 8” setback as only option. I just had an 8” bob’s hydraulic put on my 2017 z18 with 150. I am still learning it so no technical info. I got it from Rich at Hydrilla Gear who is a sponsor here.

6 or 8, I doubt there will be much diff between those offsets.

This is for Rich, do you have the Bob's 8" action series jack plates in stock?
I ordered one from Boat Owners World but they said it would 3-4 weeks as they don't have any in stock

    Thanks
