Said a guy bought it to tournament fish in and never really used it then traded it in on a bay boat to fish for stripers.
    Nice! ... but that's $51,282.00 CAD!

    I got mine for $40,500 CAD - $18,500 trade in = $22,000 CAD ($30,150 - $13,750 = $16,400 USD)

I got to keep my HJP (which they'll switch out between boats), 2 x 10' Talons, 2 x HDS 8's, 2 x HDS 7's (Gen 2's), NMEA wiring, Structure Scan HD, and they're switching the Fortrex for an Ultrex, 4 new batteries, and a 3 year warranty on the motor (value $2200 CAD). I get to keep the Humminbirds on the 201, but reinstalled the 2 HDS 5's and HDS 7 (Gen 1's) on the 295. Considering the boat market is much different here, and our $ sucks, I think that I swung a good deal. I wouldn't have done it if my 295 and all the accessories weren't paid for. It was a $25,000 CAD ($18625.00 USD) upgrade for me after taxes.

The boat should be ready next week, just in time for full ice-out and some awesome lake trout fishing!

You still made out like a bandit with all those options getting to roll over on the new one. The boat market sucks right now in my area. People are asking war prices for boats that look like they have been beat with a sledge hammer and gone over with a belt sander lol.
First decent deal I found I bit on. Seemed like the stupid things wouldn't last 3 days if a halfway decent deal came up.
These flood conditions down here have me scratching my head. Lakes were at summer pool 2 weeks ago and they are usually about 20ft down from where they are now. They are starting to pull them back down now but I'd say these smallies down here have no clue what's going on.

I hear what you're saying on used boat prices. Rangers and Tritons command stupid money up here, probably because new 21's are over $100K. Privateer sales are asking stupid money for 20 year old boats! Dealers don't want them at all as trade ins.

I knew the dealer had too much into this boat and really wanted to move it. He had it since last summer. Heck, he had offered me less for my boat last year as a trade-in on a Ranger. I got back exactly what I had into the 295 (excluding the accessories), so I'm happy.

As for bass, we can't touch them until June 15th.

At least lake trout, crappie, and others open before that. Makes for diversified fishing.

Yeah these rigs are just flat out getting out of hand on pricing. At this point I don't think I'll ever buy a new boat. I'm too tight for that

And that's just communism making yall wait that long on bass!

I'd never buy a new rig... $800/mo for twenty years, that's stupid

Well finally got a p2p measure and it was 4" brought it up to 3 1/2" and it handles better but still just got 73mph out of it. I deff have a huge learning curve to drive this thing. The chine walk is pretty bad above 68mph still. Got the RPMs up to about 5800 maybe slightly more though and water pressure was still around 21psi. If anyone is around east TN and wants to teach me to drive this thing let me know lol
Also no tackle and a half tank of gas, just me in the boat.

bring it up 1/4 more then 1/4 more if not better. just watch water pressure at full throttle and keep it in the 20's minimum. some well placed loading might help to balance boat out also. my 20ss is a one hand easy drive up to max at 70.

You're doing good. Just remember a light twitch on the steering wheel and a touch trim 'in' is all it takes to correct the chine walk. Then you can drive through it.

Took it out last Friday with the service tech for the pre-delivery water test. He was boring the crap out of me going over everything I already new, then proceeded to cruise around at 40 mph. He asked me if I was ready to give it a whirl. I got it up to 76 mph. He was a little shaken, but not stirred, when I pulled up to the dock.

Going out this morning for some lakers.
