Coming back to fishing, Garmin EchoMap models???

I've been away from bass fishing for about 5 years. At the time was an avid Garmin user using their LakeVU Ultra HD mapping card.

Seems difficult to find information on new models a well as LakeVu Ultra HD mapping updates here on BBC.

What is their current EchoMap models in the 7 to 9" range? I'm looking for units that can access LakeVU Ultra HD mapping card. Also, I read Garmin purchased Navionics. Are those maps compatible with EchoMap units?

Looking for any info on EchoMap units.

All the EC Plus units can use the Ultra card. The Echomap Plus units do come in 7" and 9" screens. They have just announced a new Echomap Ultra unit in 10" & 12". Both Plus and Ultra will network via ethernet. Links below to both.......

Garmin/Navionics: Yes, Garmin did purchase Navionics. Navionics card will NOT work with any Garmin unit. The just released a new version of mapping with Navionics included in the maps. Basically what they (someone will correct me if im wrong) did was, if Garmin had a lake that was not surveyed, they took the Navionics information and put it on the card for that lake and if there was a lake that was not surveyed and had sonar charts (recorded from users) place those contours on that lake. Also the new units come preloaded with the Lake Vu g3 mapping, but you need the Ultra card to have certain features.

The Plus and Ultra units are compatible with the LiveScope and all Panoptix transducers.

For me LakeVu Ultra Card is all I need. It covers most to every reservoir I fish in Alabama.
