    Lake levels in western NC

I’ve been checking Lakelevels.info for Jordan and I see that Glenville is down -3396’ and Mtn island is down -550’. Is that even possible? Anybody out west know what’s going on with these lakes or is that a mis-print?

No. That’s elevation I bet. Subtract that from normal pool elevation to get how far down or up the lake is.

I thought the was elevation too but it’s listed as feet below full pool. I don’t think that’s possible.

Duke Energy reports their lake water levels as a number between 94 and 105 regardless as to actual Median Sea Level. You have to use the Duke Energy target (96 for Mtn Island) as MSL, which is 647.5. So a reading of 98.0 is actually 649.5.
