    Skeeter ZX202C with 200 OX66

1999 ZX202C with 200 OX66. Switched from 25p laser II to a 25p Tempest Plus with medium vent plugs. Raised the motor from 5 1/8” PTP to 3 1/2” PTP. Picked up 4 mph from 61 to 65. RPM’s 5800. If I trim all the way up I lose 3mph and water pressure drops from 18 to 13. Do I lower motor 1/4” at a time till I can trim all the way up or leave it and don’t trip all the way up? Will getting prop worked on help any?

    Thanks

Honestly I had that same setup and 65-67 is the best I ever saw. The 200 isn’t enough for that boat. Yamaha 25M worked the best for me.

So does anyone knows if I should drop the motor till I stop over trimming or just leave it where it is and don't trim so high?

Why not just drop the motor till I can trim all the way up? Will there be a difference in performance?

I know it's apples and oranges, but make sure your cooling system is good. Poppet valve, thermos, impeller. I run my 225ox66 on a Stratos 200. I'm anywhere from 1.75-2.5 below pad and have 20psi water pressure trimmed all the way up. Again, I know it's apples and oranges, but when I started out, before I replaced things, I had a lot less water pressure.

Your best peformance will not be a full trim. The roster tail should be no more than motor high. 25m or 26 tempest is close to same on my boat. Mine is 31/2 pad to prop.
