    yamaha or evinrude in a 70 horse ?

    thinking of getting a new motor and have it narrowed to these two. What do you owners like / dislike with yours ? I have a merc now which came with the boat.I've towed more folks wiyh mercs over the years and have had too much trouble with mine to consider them ever again.Thanks in advance

    Don't have the 70 but, the F series Yamaha is bullet proof.

    I went Evinrude four years ago and will not look back. Wish I had something concrete to tell you.

    Have a 7 year warranty promotion going on right now. Solid little motors not much goes wrong with them.
