1989 mercury Black Max 175

Here’s my problem I have a 1989 mercury Black max 175. It will crank and run with ear muffs. When I launch the boat, and shift into forward she is fine putting around if I try to give it gas she dies. I have changed all fuel lines and and rebuilt the fuel pump unit. Still no luck.

has it been set up for awhile sound like too lean or linkage not advancing timming , check v6 section one down for more info on your mtr
