    181 pics please

Does anyone have any pics of their recessed pedal they cut in their 181. I've found a company that will change my seat post bases, add the recessed pan and install new carpet. My concern is, do I have room on an 18 foot boat to add the recessed pedal. I took some measurements of some pans on the web, and the 20" length seems like a lot. Not much room in front of the post to the bow. If anyone has done it on a 181 and could show me some pics it would make me feel a lot better. Would love to have one recessed for the new Ultrex I want. Thanks

I added a ComforTroll recessed tray when I bought my 181 in 2017. I also changed the seat posts to the 3/4" hole and placed them over the original Champion seat holes.

I put it close to the front deck as seen in this picture.

What was the seat post like you had to cut out. Did it go all the way to the bottom of the boat, or just like the new one, just bolted to the deck. I'm wanting to change mine, then cover with new carpet like original. Also any issues with structural support when done, like spongy feeling. Or couldn't feel any difference.

It is bolted to the top deck only. All solid with no issues.
