Skeeter ZX202C with 200 OX66
1999 ZX202C with 200 OX66. Switched from 25p laser II to a 25p Tempest Plus with medium vent plugs. Raised the motor from 5 1/8” PTP to 3 1/2” PTP. Picked up 4 mph from 61 to 65. RPM’s 5800. If I trim all the way up I lose 3mph and water pressure drops from 18 to 13. Do I lower motor 1/4” at a time till I can trim all the way up or leave it and don’t trip all the way up? Will getting prop worked on help any?
Thanks

25m Yamaha prop is what you need to be running.

Mark Croxton recommended the Tempest Plus so I'm trying that first.

Well Marks the man. You’re at the top of the WOT rpms, so you can’t do awhole lot more. If could go up a pitch, motors recommend to run around 5500-5600 at WOT. 1 pitch up would get you there and should gain 1-2 mph. How’s the holeshot now?
You could be over trimming too, after you get on plane bump the trim and give it a second to catch up. Do this until you see a loss of or no further gains of speed. You can usually feel when the boats just right, feels like it’s floating on air.

Holeshot is perfect actually better now than when motor was down at 5 1/8 inch PTP.

I have a 202C with a 250 OX66 and I run a 27 Tempest plus and it still only runs 65 MPH. It also slows down at full trim. I just don't think the boat will run much faster than that. I still love the boat though.
