Thank you for all of the replies! I am thinking about looking a left over Z21 demo here shortly. I think it need to get out and take a ride in one and make my decision from there.

I’m a Bullet guy, but BBC member “grayline” has one sharp Nitro. Of course, I’m partial to the colors.

Pull your newer graphs, poles, and Ultrex. Put your Fortrex back on, you don't need to pay retail twice!

    This makes total sense

Feature for feature and dollar for dollar Nitro is almost as pricey as most others. Ever price a Nitro with a larger motor on it and the same graphs, TM and other goodies? I have twice and wound up with a Ranger both times. Nitro has come a long way in the quality dept. and there are lots of them out there so they can't all be bad.

Well, even though I started this post, I have rendered it useless for me..I pulled the trigger on a 2012 Phoenix 721 yesterday, I will be going down to Georgia next week to pick it up. I plan on pulling some of my newer stuff of my Ranger and transferring it to the new boat. I wish my Ultrex was a 36 volt so I could transfer that too!!

For 40K you could get a nice Z19 or a loaded out Z18. My buddy just purchased a new Z18. Its a damn nice boat.
Runs and handles fine for a 150 merc on the back. It has a very stable fishing platform.
Does it have the quality of my Bass Cat or a Ranger, no. But it doesn't come with the price either.
The Nitro will serve you fine and last a long time. Anything will last if you take care of it and do preventive maintenance.
I don't believe 40K will get you in a 20 foot nitro. Especially loaded.

You ended up with a much better boat than either one you started the post with.

If those brands plus the others I mentioned are so amazing, why are they out of business? Why weren't guys buying them and keeping them in business? They all went the way of the dinosaur for a reason.

IMO its because they were holiday inn type brands, thats a crowded market. You need to be a motel 6- Nitro, or a Marriott- Ranger/Basscat, etc.
