I like Lowrance a lot, but my initial thought is that this is nearly as good as the Garmin product. Maybe if he was on fish we would have better sonar interpretation.
    Thanks,

My thought is it is not even close to the Garmin LiveScope. Time will tell.

I thought the last few seconds of watching his lure was very clear..

    So did I.

This looks a lot like LiveScope buth with a few "unfortunate" palettes that seems to be confusing RMP as well. My dad just ordered a 8410xsv with LVS12 for his boat and if the budget permits it I`ll throw in a HDS Live and LS as well on my boat to do some comparing of my own.

I have watched hours and hours of livescope videos from all the you tubers I could getting ready and trying to learn as much as possible. I have also snooped over on the Garmin site to get as much info as I can. After watching the RMP video I am confident that this is as good if not better. Hands on will be the real deal though.

Lvs32 would be a better comparison.

The one detractor is that you have to mount it for down view or forward view. LiveScope let’s you manually adjust the transducer for either view.

Can you have forward view if you mount it on the bottom of the trolling motor? I have an Ulterra and that's the only place I can mount it without a stick mount.

I don’t think so...I believe it comes with a down facing transom mount, forward facing trolling motor shaft mount and bottom facing trolling motor mount. You could make it work with an external pole mount.

Hopefully you can adjust or it auto adjust the depth so that it maximizes the screen. The way that was set up it wasnt using half the screen

Tell me if i heard this wrong. With the lawsuit lowrance Vs Garmin.. that they offered to share technology. And this is exactly the same as Garmin
The agreement includes a broad cross licensing of patents and other intellectual property, which will allow both companies to bring new innovations to the market faster and benefit all marine customers.

    From the lawsuit settlement.
So i believe they will both be the same...

Correct, but just because they share the same tech does not mean both companies have perfected it equally. I can share the tech for a combustible engine, you could build a model-T or a Ferrari.
