    Cougar Setup

We are repowering a 2011 cougar with a new Mercury 250 Pro XS V8. He has a 25 Fury 3 blade he is looking to run and an Atlas 8" jackplate. Any suggestions on engine height? Is this prop a good choice?

Go to the 3.0l frequently asked queations and review the info on setting up with a Torkmaster II gear case. I found it to be dead on for my cougar

Run the 25 before you go buy a new prop. You might like it. I’m running my atlas at 6-7 right now with the new 250 and believe 8 have finally dialed it in

24 Fury and no vent plugs.
engine lower running, higher for hole shot
