My wife's middle son flew down to spend his college spring break with us. He has been wanting to hunt for a while, but previous trips down were too packed to fit a hunt in. We had all but given up, as daylight was fading fast. Finally found an Axis doe out in a large field. My little brother and Matthew made the stalk while I kept an eye on the quarry. Posted up and Matthew made a perfect shot at 267 yards. I couldn't be prouder. The 6.5 Creedmoor adds one more critter to the freezer.
