    Rodman Lodging?

Where is the closest lodging to Rodman? Need beds for 6-8 people.

Look up crystal cove resort. Its in Palatka right on the St Johns river and they always have rooms available. Its about a 15 min drive from there to Rodman.

That at would be your best bet. That or a VRBO house

your second best bet would be to move your event from Rodman to the River.

Just booked a house for a week in February, We are 15 minutes from Kenwood ramp, in Palatka. What St Johns River ramp is the closest?

Depends on what part of Palatka. Several options.

Looks like a makeshift ramp at the end of Stokes Landing road? No clue if it's private, public or even viable for a bassboat? Other then that, PCD is probably your best bet.

Thanks, PCD is only about 8 miles from the house. Would the fishing in that area be better than Lake George?

I think that's Browns Landing. Shame is I've used it a bunch but don't know the name of the rd, LOL . It's a good public ramp unless the water is really high, then the parking lot will be wet. It's almost straight across from Dunns Creek.

I coundn't load a picture but it's actually Browns Landing Rd. You cant see the ramp from Google Earth but it's there. It's across and just a little west of the mouth of Dunns Creek.

Just saw that we will be at Rodman during the drawdown. What ramps will be usable during the drawdown?

They will build a makeshift ramp that dumps into barge canal at Kenwood - A 4wd tow vehicle is highly recommended and it can be a muddy mess.

You are on recently exposed lake bottom.

Leaving on Friday and fishing a week. Kenwood still the recomended ramp? Any other lakes near worth fishing? Going to stay away from St Johns, with the Elites fishing.

The temp ramp at Kenwood is in good shape so you will not have any issues, That being said the River is always a good option and if you go south on 19 you can always hit Salt Springs, that dumps in to Lake George or even give Lake Kerr a shot. A ways down 19 you can get to Astor (St. Johns River, Lakes Dexter and Woodruff). You have the right idea by checking out Google Earth
