Just picked up a new rig with this motor on it. Dont know much about them. Hours are low and compression is good. Has an entire book of detailed service records from new. Any insight on what I should watch for or expect out of this one?
You should try posting this in the 3 liter forum. I know it says high performance, but it is for all 3L motors. Folks over there can probably help you out. Good Luck!
Actually, the 3L forum title says "&" 3L high performance. The 2.0/2.4/2.5 forum title is the one missing the "&".
As Aces mentioned, very good support for that engine (looks to have been well cared for btw) in the 3L forum along with an excellent FAQ at the top of that forum that will help you with most anything on your new Optimax. Welcome to BBC.
