Guntersville what to know

I’m coming down first of April. What do I need to know about running the lake? First time there.

Stay in the channel.

River is well marked, channel are marked ....look for grass .... traps ....

watch for the other 2000 boats running around.. then look for the groups of 20 25 boats sitting within arms reach of each other then you will know that there has been a fish caught in that 10x10 area in the last 10 minutes. have fun!

If it's your first time here then yes, I would run only in the marked channels. There are, however, many areas where you can safely run outside the channel. Watch your map and look for secondary channels and you can run them with no problem.
