Nothing special about Lucas marine grease vs most of the others.

Folks, I have tested many greases through Blackstone labs due to heavy equipment and farm equipment part failures. Valvoline Cerulean grease came out number one. It is a type 2 lithium based water proof industrial grease. I have had zero failures since spending the money to have tested. As said above Lucas isn't anything special, but few are. Other types of Valvoline didn't do as well as Cerulean either. Actually blackstone ranked Mobil 1 grease at the bottom of the pile also by the way. What prompted me to do this was a John Deere no till drill, replaced bearings and three days later started having failures again. It had to be a better way, I sent Lucas, Shell, Valvoline, Mystik, Mobil, along with many others. Best 500 bucks I have ever spent. I bought a new 15ft clipper and a 15 ft disk in 2006. I have not replaced one single bearing on either implement. I havent replaced a single front end part on vehicles since using only cerulean, way to go folks....

Ron can you share your Blackstone test results? I would be interested in the attributes tested.

Whenever I get Amsoil 2 stroke oil I just get a tube a their marine grease as well because it's the same price as Lucas marine at Lowes. Works good for me and drove my trailer for a year with no bearing protector and bearings looked like new still.

Actually that was more than ten years ago. It would take a miracle to find that. All I had was results that stuck in my brain, used what they said was the best product and never looked back.....

Amsoil is a good product, I use their compressor oil. Have their oil in my race car, good stuff for sure, not cheap by any means but good.....
