What does the pitch of props do?
I’m running a 25 tempest plus 3 blade. I added a lot of extra weight to the ass end on the boat. Should I go up in pitch or go down. I can get hole shot.

Down. In theory your 25” moves 25 inches per revolution. Smaller prop/pitch increases your wide open throttle (WOT) rpms and gets on plane faster. A smaller pitch, say a 23” only moves 23 inches per revolution, therefore increasing the number of turns while driving.
A 4 blade tends to give a little quicker holeshot too though. What’s your current WOT rpms with your load and what motor?
You can google it to get a better understanding if what I wrote above doesn’t make sense.

A 25 Tempest plus has PVS holes. You can adjust those for better hole shot. What is your current PVS configuration?

How many rpm's do you have at hole shot break over and at WOT now?
