Fuel pump out again after two months

The electric fuel pump on my 2008 250 HPDI went out in January. My mechanic replaced it and we used a Sierra pump. I run my boat at least once a week and it has been perfect up until yesterday. I backed down to the water and the engine fired then died. It would not start and I didn't hear the electric pump spin when I turned the key. This is the same thing it did last time. Any ideas on what would cause two pumps to go out? I have fresh fuel, ring free, Starbrite, and all new filters. I keep my filters, etc. changed on a regular basis, so I am confident I'm not having fuel issues.

Sierra isn't known to have the best fuel pump. It does have a 1year parts and labor warranty.

Yea. I should have gone with the Yamaha. The pump just took a dump and burnt out. I'm working with them on warranty for the replacement. I now have a Yamaha pump.
