Brand new Fury 4 - major slippage

11 Z521 / 250 Pro XS. I went with Fury 4 24 for summer tournaments and it was good. Small loss of speed at top end vs my 25 Tempest Plus, but everything else was good. I threw a blade last fall and mercury sent me a new replacement one. This one has slippage percentage of 18, so now the speed is way off. 5950 RPM's and 65 mph. Tested the Tempest to make sure it wasn't the motor. Tempest has just over 10% slippage and I can get just over 69.5 mph at 5750 RPM. Is the Fury 4 known for needing to be worked out of the box or did I just get a poor one. Thanks

It's either slippage or the pitch is out of wack. My Raker HO says it's 24, but my rpms and speed honestly say it's more like 25 or more.

Fury needs to run about 1/2 in deeper than a tempest, They will slip when ran to high. Stock Fury props never seem to work as a tempest, new ball game once the right person preps the Fury though
    Thank You Leon Pugh

To high and they will sling a blade could be why you lost the blade on the 1st prop.
